ABOUT YOUNG BUDDIES
Young Buddies is the youth arm of Buddies.
With meetings and activities coordinated by young people, the group's focus is supporting refugees (who are often the same age) by providing social networking opportunities in areas such as homestay, education and awareness for young people.

To join Young Buddies, simply subscribe to the Buddies email and in the "Comments" section, write "Young Buddies."
You will receive weekly e-newsletters updating you on the latest issues regarding refugees and asylum seekers, as well as a Young Buddies welcome email and information about the Young Buddies meetings and events.

Mission Statement
Young Buddies is a group of passionate young people dedicated to the betterment of the lives of refugees in Australia.
By educating fellow Australians, we hope to raise awareness and gain support for the changes which need to be made to ensure that Australia’s policies towards asylum seekers and refugees are in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Refugee Convention.
We aspire to create meaningful relationships with young refugees and to promote the social welfare of refugees living on the Sunshine Coast, through the hosting of social events and fundraisers.
