Since 2017 Buddies has been working with the Romero Centre in Brisbane collecting non-perishable food and toiletries for refugees and asylum seekers.

​

The Romero Centre provides and connects asylum seekers living in Brisbane with practical support (like food and shelter), legal connections, English classes, medical care, trauma counseling, community events and more.

​

You can help us give practical support to refugees and asylum seekers by donating any of the food and toiletries listed below.

 

ITEMS

• Basmati rice

• Cooking oil

• Honey

• Sugar

• Lentils

• UHT Milk

• Coffee/tea

• Canned foods: tuna, tomato,corn, fruit

• Salt

DONATION DROP-OFF POINTS

 

 

Some of these are private residences, so please leave at the front door if nobody is home. Feel free to include a note of greeting to asylum seekers.
