Report: Light the Dark vigil,

From a Buddies perspective the responsibility for this was initiated by myself Val Ross but the main organisation of the Vigil was undertaken by Young Buddies member Quinn Kerr and Angela Wilson from Sunshine Coast Democracy Group. Between them they organised many aspects which while not necessarily apparent were essential to the success of the event.

 

Lindel Greggery was crucial in publishing the event on our social networks, as was Wendy Oakley who sent out at short notice the invitation to our email list.

 

Thanks also to Marnie Greer, our USC intern who helped set up the infographic and petition to be launched on the night. And to Abby who helped with the Twitter campaign. Many behind the scenes hours were also spent by Garry Bates sorting out the paper work!

 

I would like to thank these special people for all they did to make the vigil a success.
